Episode 205 – Attitude of Gratitude

Episode Overview

Happy Thanksgiving!!  While we will be focusing on things we are grateful for today, we know that it’s all too easy to slide into a negative outlook and to get stuck in a loop of frustration and cynicism. Today Gina and Susanna talk about the importance of gratefulness in our lives.

Gina talks about how we have three things that we can control – our actions, reactions, and mindset. The attitude of gratitude isn’t just a platitude, it’s the foundation of resilience and creating opportunity after failure or disappointment. Gina also mentions giving yourself props and recognizing the successes that you’ve had each day.

Because it can be easy to slip into a negative headspace, they discuss the idea of having a ‘gratitude buddy’ who can be there to bring you back to a more positive space when you really need it. They also get into the pros and cons of being an empath, keeping a gratitude log, the strength of people who persevere through tragedy, and how sharing your own story and listening to other people’s inspiring stories can help you to shape a new attitude of gratitude. Listen to the end to hear what Gina and Susanna are grateful for.
